Amy Becke, NEDP Director
I am a freelance dance artist based in the North East of England, working as a performer, teacher and choreographer. In September 2023, I founded North East Dance Project, a community dance company for dancers of all ages and experience levels. I am passionate about working with community dancers and supporting opportunities for adult dancers in the North East.
Alyssa Lisle, NEDP Rehearsal Director/Choreographer
Alyssa is a movement artist, performer, and facilitator based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Passionate about her roots, Alyssa is committed to fostering talent and building connections within the North East dance community. Her artistic practice deeply values joy, commitment and community. Over the past 10 years, she has worked with companies such as Rendez-Vous Dance, Southpaw Dance Company, Level Centre, and Fertile Ground, contributing to a rich portfolio spanning performance, direction, and facilitation. Alyssa is passionate about community dance and is committed to curating opportunities for people to engage with movement in safe and supported environments. Within her facilitation practice, she teaches regularly across the region in a variety of settings, teaches professional class at DANE (Dance Artists North East) and Dance City. Alyssa is also the North East Dance Ambassador for Matthew Bourne's New Adventures.
Diane Becke, Costume Maker/Designer

We are incredibly lucky to have beautiful costumes created for our dancers by Diane. Diane has been making costumes for Amy since she was five years old, and now she lovingly designs them for the adult dancers of North East Dance Project. The dancers absolutely adore her tutus and are so grateful.
