FIRST AID INFORMATION
There will always be the appropriate amount of first aid trained staff members at rehearsals, classes, performances and workshops. This information will be shared with the dancers to ensure multiple people know what to do in an emergency. 

Newcastle College
The defibrillator is located in the foyer of the Performance Academy. See the image and video below to notice the Defibrillator next to Reception, opposite the barriers and vending machines on the left.

In a first aid emergency, the teacher will act as the first aider. Someone will need to collect the defibrillator. The first aider will ask one other person with first aid experience or medical knowledge to stay with them and provide support. Someone else will need to ring security on (0191) 200 4187.












Newcastle High School Junior School
The defibrillator is located in the main school building. The teacher will always have a fob for the main school door on a yellow lanyard (see the image below) kept next to the speakers. This will allow you to access the main school building where defibrillator number one is located outside the main hall. Defibrillator number two is adjacent to the first floor lift.

IF THE FOB DOESN'T WORK - please see the video and map below which shows the next closest defibrillator. It is around a three minute walk away, please do not run to it in an emergency unless you are fit to do so. The yellow square is the dance studio, Sandyford Social Club is the defibrillator location.
